Good News/Bad News

Good:  An educated President who reads.  To see that before I died seems an impossible gift the country does not deserve.  The best speech, given the moment, possibly in the history of the country, delivered with a supernatural confidence and vitality considering the demands of the campaign.  Don't miss it if you did not see it.

Bad:  50 million people voting hate and ignorance, sometimes at 60-40 majorities, The flood of sewage goes on in public discourse with the same unregulated toxicity as financial swindles.  I hear it as the sound track of daily life around me, corroding the spirit of half the population like the most graphic pornography.  The elite are an endless ATM paying to have filth poured into the minds of the uneducated masses, and they kept the civil war alive as ever today as in 1860.

Every day is lived in the shadow of past assassinations, not just of American idealists, but history itself (the hero martyr archetype). None of them had the 24/7 prompting of Limbaugh and Hannity validating hate.  The media are corporate whores who will perpetuate the trance of meaningless information to confuse and divide a dumbed down population.

The real wise elders are not represented by Obama, but by the baby boomers who foresaw this crisis and began working on a sustainable cilvilization 40 years ago.  He is like a fish in the water of exponetial debt and growth.
